Close Range?!?
ECR - The Extreme Close Range
Will over 98% of Gliese 667C's population living in some kind of spaceborne habitat, physical space is at an absolute premium, so all but a few stations tend to be densely packed, to say the least. Such close quarters and improvements in meta-material armour have brought about a resurgence of dedicated melee units. In such cramped confines they can handily control areas and threaten ranged units.
From left to right
The R.U.R R-332, one of the innumerable repair bots that service their cities, slightly tweaked to disassemble, instead of fix. their unfolding treads let them move at high speed and also climb ledges, while their density sensor suite shows them exactly where a targets weakpoint is.
The Monster Makers Bulwark Beetle is the weakest offensively of the lot, but it can control the most space by spreading it's stronger than steel carapace out, and while not as strong as a bullet, it's venomous stinger and digging claws make it more than a brick wall too.
Finally, the Steel Legion's Stonecutter, recruited from the civilians who break up and shape the ore packages so they can fit in the foundry's. A hazardous job with hypersonic stone fragments flying everywhere, which is why their work gear needed so little modification to get it battle ready. Their synth-diamond saws, far stronger than the natural stuff, can slice through almost any armour once they start grinding.
